Job Purpose and Overview
This position focuses on the daily assembly and manufacturing of high-quality medical devices. Duties center around building assemblies and supporting other company functions while adhering strictly to international regulatory standards and Haemonetics' quality management system.
Main Responsibilities
- Assemble sub-components and finalized devices, including packaging for testing, clinical trials, and market release.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections on parts and assemblies following documented protocols and standards.
- Manage issuance of materials, set up manufacturing equipment and fixtures on the production line.
- Support the Material Control System by assisting in inspections, issuing parts, and monitoring inventory.
- Engage in training to gain proficiency in manufacturing and inspection processes promptly.
- Prepare for and assist in executing in-process testing of devices, accurately recording outcomes.
- Identify and communicate quality and process improvements; contribute to their implementation.
- Provide training and guidance to colleagues on product assembly, inspection, and testing as needed.
- Maintain adherence to released work instructions and procedures.
- Complete quality documentation, both written and digital, in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Demonstrate reliability in attendance, compliance with work schedules, and achieving quality and productivity goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum educational attainment of Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
- Higher education qualifications are considered advantageous.
Experience and Training
- At least 4 years’ experience in medical device manufacturing, including a minimum of 2 years in a cleanroom environment or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is beneficial.
Required Skills
- Strong communication abilities.

- Manual dexterity and fine motor skill proficiency.
- High initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency with desktop software such as Excel and Word; computer literacy is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from 32,300 to 43,700 annually. Compensation is determined based on factors including location, education, skills, and experience. Non-sales employees may receive discretionary annual bonuses and could be eligible for participation in long-term incentive plans. Haemonetics also provides a comprehensive benefits package to employees.
