Managing Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

We are seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead all commercial and quantity surveying functions for a prestigious luxury hotel project. This role requires overseeing cost control, contract management, procurement, change management, and ensuring the project maintains strong financial health.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the Quantity Surveying team to achieve project goals.
• Oversee and track project budgets, expenditures, forecasts, and cash flow management.
• Carry out administration of contracts including variations, claims, and final accounts reconciliation.
• Manage procurement processes, conduct tender evaluations, and handle subcontract agreements.
• Prepare and assess payment applications from clients and valuations from subcontractors.
• Identify potential commercial risks and devise strategies to mitigate them effectively.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to protect project interests.
• Generate monthly reports detailing commercial status and cost performance.
• Ensure all activities are compliant with contractual obligations and company policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree holder in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial and quantity surveying roles.
• Demonstrated capability in handling mega hotel or other significant high-value construction projects.
• In-depth familiarity with FIDIC contracts, comprehensive cost control techniques, procurement strategies, and claims management.
• Strong leadership aptitude with excellent negotiation and communication proficiencies.
