Job description
Role Overview
As a Managing Consultant specializing in Endur Functional, you will take a leadership role in implementing and upgrading Endur solutions within commodity and energy markets. This position demands expertise in trading and risk management systems, specifically for Endur, covering modules related to deal modeling, valuations, risk, scheduling, invoicing, and accounting of commodities and energy products. You will execute projects utilizing consultancy and project management best practices while supporting the expansion of the energy and commodities consulting practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients strategically on Endur implementation or upgrade projects across various commodities including Gas, Power, Renewables, LNG, Agriculture, Crude and Refined Products.
- Act as the Endur functional subject matter expert for physical and derivatives products.
- Engage with clients and prospects to analyze business needs and processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead change management efforts.
- Lead functional tasks such as designing, configuring, testing, and transitioning Endur solutions into operational phases.
- Apply deep knowledge of Endur modules, commodity/energy operations, financial products, risk management, and accounting.
- Prepare detailed documentation including business requirements, designs, test plans, and other project deliverables.
- Adhere to implementation best practices and maintain clear documentation and issue resolution processes.
- Coordinate with technical teams to develop customizations tailored to client requirements.
- Provide industry and functional consulting expertise.
- Manage resource allocation reflecting project risks, team skills, and required Endur modules.
- Maintain effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders while managing expectations and business changes.
- Offer training and guidance on Endur functionalities and broader ETRM/CTRM topics.
- Support professional growth of junior consultants.
Required Skills and Experience
- Expertise in Endur modules and commodity/energy operations with experience using V19 and newer versions.
- In-depth understanding of Endur risk management and valuation features including MTM, PnL, VAR, and end-of-day automation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of standard and custom Endur implementation approaches such as reporting support, complex desktops, APM pages, and pre/post-processing logic.
- Familiarity with Endur architecture and implementation best methods for optimized client solutions.
- Strong functional knowledge of Gas, Power, Renewables, LNG, Crude, and Refined Products markets.
- Proficient interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated project management and multitasking capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Capacity to work effectively independently or collaboratively within fast-paced, detail-oriented projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of seven years' hands-on experience as a lead or principal consultant/team lead on Endur projects, specifically on V19+ versions.
- Over ten years of industry experience, with at least three years providing consulting services.
- Participated as a primary contributor in at least two extensive Endur end-to-end implementations or upgrades within Gas, Power, Renewables, LNG, or Crude & Refined Products sectors.
- Proven expertise in comprehensive testing and quality assurance of Endur solutions.
- Experience collaborating with culturally diverse, geographically distributed teams and readiness to accommodate multiple time zones.
- Ability to work within project team structures with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites as needed.
Preferred Experience
- Subject matter expertise or functional consultancy background in Commodity Trading, Risk, or Logistics within large enterprises.
- Experience in Front, Middle, or Back Office functions specializing in trading, risk, logistics, or settlements operations.
- Familiarity with Endur’s gMotion or cMotion modules is an added advantage.
