Job description
Role Overview
The Manager or Senior Manager for School Connectedness and Behavioural Support within the Guidance Branch, Student Curriculum Development Division 1, plays an essential role in empowering Guidance Officers. This position supports the design and delivery of initiatives that promote nurturing and supportive school environments nationwide, directly advancing efforts to enhance Teacher-Student relationships, peer interactions, and behavioural management in schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee curriculum development projects by monitoring deadlines, controlling document management processes, handling version updates, and ensuring readiness of instructional content and professional development tools for distribution.
- Gather and analyse extensive datasets to extract meaningful patterns and trends that inform subsequent team action.
- Facilitate team collaboration by organising meetings, preparing presentation materials, handling communication with educational institutions and external partners, and assisting Guidance Officers with engagement sessions.
- Plan and implement professional development workshops and events which may include participation from multiple teams.
- Maintain records of decisions and follow-up tasks across projects and meetings to keep relevant stakeholders promptly updated on progress.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Excellent organisational abilities along with strong communication skills—both written and verbal—and confident presentation capabilities.
- Proficiency in processing and interpreting large volumes of data using relevant tools to generate actionable insights.
- Capability to juggle multiple task streams effectively within a fast-paced setting.
- A proactive, dependable team collaborator with the capacity to work independently as necessary.
- Prior experience in administrative, executive support, or project coordination roles is preferred.
