Manager/Senior Manager - External Audit (Audit & Assurance)

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide audit, accounting, regulatory, attest, and related services through Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance practice using reputable tools and methodologies.
• Work closely with clients from a broad range of industries delivering high-quality solutions encompassing IPO advisories, internal control assessments, financial reporting under Malaysian and International standards, US GAAP, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and supervise Audit Assistants in performing auditing procedures and testing across diverse client portfolios, reviewing their outputs and supporting engagement managers.
• Engage proactively in planning audits, resolving client issues, and managing client relationships as an engagement leader.
• Uphold Deloitte’s leadership values by aligning stakeholder and organizational goals with personal performance priorities.
• Seek growth opportunities, share expertise, and act as a brand ambassador while challenging oneself and collaborating across diverse teams.
• Foster strong communication and relationships with peers, clients, and stakeholders, and contribute to an inclusive workplace culture recognizing all team members.

Requirements

• A recognized university degree in Accounting or a relevant professional accounting certification.
• At least 4 years of significant audit experience within a professional practice setting.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with strong people management abilities and capacity to adapt and learn swiftly.
• Previous employment in well-established professional services firms is favorable.
• Experience in industries such as Real Estate, Consumer Business, Shipping, or Investment Management is preferential.
• Familiarity with PCAOB standards and US GAAP is a valuable advantage.
