About the Role

This position offers an opportunity to actively contribute to youth development in Singapore. The role encompasses partnership cultivation, program coordination, grant oversight, and data analytics, fostering a broad network across government bodies, corporates, nonprofits, and philanthropic groups.

Partnership Lab Overview

The Partnership Lab serves as the strategic hub within the National Youth Council, promoting collaborative efforts among public, people, private, and philanthropic sectors to innovate youth development initiatives. Responsibilities include designing initiatives, structuring grants, creating data infrastructures, and continuous operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture partnerships spanning the public, people, private, and philanthropic sectors to develop impactful youth opportunities.
  • Implement and manage grants and technological tools, such as AI and data visualization, to maximize partnership outcomes.
  • Collaborate with partners to design and oversee youth-focused initiatives like mentoring programs, job tasters, youth-led projects, curiosity credits, as well as financial and AI literacy efforts.
  • Monitor program success through feedback collection, data analysis from NYC platforms like DISCOVER, and creation of analytical dashboards for informed decisions.
  • Oversee the comprehensive grant management process, from application evaluation to fund allocation and closure.
  • Handle procurement activities in line with government policies, ensuring responsible use of public funds and identifying enhancement opportunities.

Desired Qualifications and Attributes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging youths, partners, and senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to operate effectively within fast-paced environments.
  • Proficient analytical capabilities, including data handling and critical assessment.
  • Experience or enthusiasm for involvement with youth or community groups.
  • Background or interest in mentoring, career transition coaching, youth civic engagement, or community development.
  • Familiarity or curiosity about AI, technological skill-building, and grant lifecycle management including compliance.
  • Availability to occasionally work on weekends as required by program schedules.
  • Applicants who are inquisitive, responsible, and dedicated with up to three years of professional experience are encouraged.
