Role Overview
The Manager - Tracker Specialist will be based in Gurgaon, responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and technological advancement of solar tracking systems within the company's portfolio. They will play a pivotal role in vendor management, innovation deployment, safety compliance, and cost management to enhance operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure autonomy and robustness of solar trackers through design improvements and predictive maintenance.
- Maintain portfolio-level tracker performance and uptime via retrofitting and spare parts management.
- Lead vendor development and manage vendor relationships effectively.
- Deploy cutting-edge technologies for out-of-warranty parts through benchmarking, proof of concept, design and engineering, prototyping, testing, vendor development, and large-scale implementation.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards across operations.
- Drive horizontal expansion of robotic systems for wet cleaning by assessing feasibility, conducting trials, and performing techno-commercial evaluations of various robotic OEMs.
- Maintain reliability and operational performance of a 4 GW fleet of robotic assets.
- Explore and apply innovative technologies for solar assets, including hybrid plant illumination, battery energy storage systems (BESS) for auxiliary consumption optimization, reactive power compensation, and demand side management (DSM), through benchmarking, prototyping, and mass deployment.
- Prepare comprehensive technical solutions supported by financial modelling and bills of materials.
- Manage and disseminate management information systems related to trackers and robotic systems.
- Engage with digital solutions to mitigate tracker shading impacts.
- Focus on lowering the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) to improve cost efficiency.
- Select appropriate battery technologies and size them for various applications.
- Evaluate and select global strategic partners for joint ventures or acquisitions; perform vendor evaluation and development accordingly.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Tech/B.E. EEE).
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in the renewable energy sector, preferably in solar tracker technology and operations.

The role is based onsite in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. Eligibility extends to any graduate meeting the specified education criteria.
