Job description

About the Role

Our client is a Crown Entity dedicated to monitoring and regulatory oversight aimed at ensuring a safe environment across commercial and social sectors. Their primary mission is to prevent harm and save lives. The position of Manager, reporting to a Deputy Chief Executive, holds responsibility for converting organizational strategies and frameworks into multi-year external initiatives. This Tier-3 leadership role directs a skilled team focused on harm prevention, working closely with the sector and various partners.

The Manager will maintain a holistic, system-wide perspective on external programmes, emphasizing measurable results and benefits. They will foster an integrated, collaborative approach to program execution and regulatory practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement organizational strategy through clearly defined and actionable programmes.
  • Lead and guide a team focused on delivering harm prevention outcomes.
  • Ensure a system-level, outcome-oriented view overseeing multiple external programmes.
  • Promote collaboration and integration across internal departments and external stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, encompassing people management and strategic programme delivery.
  • Strong systems-thinking perspective combined with a focus on tangible results.
  • Experience in regulatory environments or harm prevention sectors is advantageous.
  • Excellent relationship-building abilities and a collaborative working style.
