About Logistics & Supply Chain Management (LSCM) Division

The LSCM division functions as an industry architect by crafting and implementing strategies that establish Singapore as a leading global logistics center. The division attracts key logistics service providers and air express integrators to establish regional headquarters, implement best-in-class facilities, and develop innovative capabilities for meeting client logistics fulfillment needs. It supports essential economic activities including manufacturing, trade, and domestic resilience. The team also collaborates closely with Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCOs) to cultivate a world-class supply chain ecosystem in Singapore with regional and global supply chain operations.

The division's activities encompass industry research, development of strategies, promotional campaigns, and managing strategic accounts. It works alongside diverse public and private sector partners to formulate and roll out ecosystem-wide strategies.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Analyzing global trends related to technology, business models, regulations, and skills to generate insights that will inform Singapore's logistics and supply chain strategies.
• Formulating value propositions and programs to attract companies in logistics subsectors such as freight forwarding, contract logistics, and last mile delivery to establish headquarters and business operations in Singapore, working collaboratively with internal EDB teams and external partners.
• Executing strategies, implementing policy adjustments, and administering industry development programs by coordinating with internal stakeholders and government agencies.
• Acting as the primary EDB liaison for a portfolio of corporate clients, overseeing account management processes including development, negotiation, project execution, and client service.
• Establishing strategic relationships and fostering trust with clients, ensuring adherence to EDB's client service standards.
• Gaining comprehensive understanding of clients' operations and needs to develop effective client engagement strategies.
• Identifying and structuring projects to achieve mutually beneficial results for clients and Singapore.
• Providing tailored solutions to address client challenges and requests.
• Mobilizing resources and expertise within EDB, governmental, and ecosystem partners to support client initiatives.
• Keeping abreast of regional and global industry trends, government offerings, and EDB services to identify new project opportunities and enhance client value.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses a minimum of 2 years’ experience in strategy, policy, research, industry development, or a related logistics or supply chain role.
• Demonstrates strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills with high adaptability and ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to solve complex issues and formulate actionable insights.
• Exhibits solid business acumen with capability to identify industry-level opportunities beneficial to Singapore.
• Has excellent project management and leadership qualities, able to handle cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks efficiently to achieve results.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills capable of conveying ideas clearly and succinctly.
• Superior interpersonal and influencing abilities to engage stakeholders at various seniority levels effectively.
• Flexible and responsive to the changing business environment and shifting priorities.
• A team-oriented individual who also excels at independent thinking.
• Experience in quantitative data analysis is an added advantage.
• Must be a Singaporean citizen.
