Job description
Role Overview
This position entails leading and enhancing the organization's geospatial products and analytical processes by managing geospatial data, systems, projects, and analytics that aid operational planning, decision-making, and capability growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) initiatives and lead related efforts.
- Perform advanced spatial analyses and produce actionable insights using maps, dashboards, reports, and other geospatial outputs.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to convert operational needs into effective geospatial solutions.
- Champion the adoption of innovative geospatial technologies and industry best practices within the organization.
- Ensure geospatial information is optimally utilized to boost organizational performance and operational effectiveness.
- Lead and nurture a team of GEOINT analysts to deliver accurate and timely geospatial products aligned to operational demands.
- Promote strong interdepartmental collaboration, integrate data from diverse sources, and uphold rigorous standards in data governance, security, and quality.
Qualifications and Expectations
- Preferably possess educational background in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geomatics, Geospatial Science, Remote Sensing, or related disciplines including Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or Data Analytics and Visualization.
- At least one year of relevant experience in geospatial analysis, GIS application development, or spatial data management is preferred.
- Exhibit strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for leveraging geospatial technologies to drive operational success and maintain a commitment to continual learning in emerging geospatial trends.
- Possess a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal communication skills, collaborative nature, and capability to foster strong stakeholder partnerships within a team-driven, mission-oriented setting.
