Job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mid-Level Data Management Consultant based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to help clients implement enterprise data management and governance systems that comply with the standards set by the National Data Management Office (NDMO) and the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support client projects focused on enterprise data management, governance, and regulatory adherence.
  • Perform evaluations of current data maturity levels against NDMO frameworks and standards.
  • Help design future-state data governance operating models, including policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Lead workshops and coordinate with business and technical stakeholders to drive governance initiatives.
  • Produce key deliverables including assessment reports, gap analyses, governance frameworks, and roadmaps for implementation.
  • Implement NDMO Data Management Controls and standards as part of client solutions.
  • Advise clients on meeting regulations from the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority and compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
  • Define practices around data ownership, stewardship, classification, retention, and access management.
  • Create governance documents such as data dictionaries, metadata standards, and data lineage records.
  • Conduct assessments addressing data quality and identify improvements.
  • Implement data quality frameworks, establish key performance indicators, and monitor data quality processes.
  • Support master data management (MDM) and metadata management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on data cleansing, migration, and integration projects.
  • Engage and manage relationships with executives, data owners, IT, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into effective data governance and management programs.
  • Facilitate change management efforts and promote the adoption of governance solutions among users.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Between 4 and 7 years in data management, governance, or consulting roles.
  • Experience working on data governance or digital transformation initiatives.
