Job Overview

The Cybersecurity Manager plays a crucial role in steering the organization's cyber security strategy, overseeing daily security operations, and ensuring governance across both on-premises and cloud infrastructures. This leadership position manages a specialized cybersecurity team protecting a diverse array of systems including Windows/Linux servers, major cloud platforms such as Oracle, AWS, and Azure, containerized environments like Kubernetes clusters, enterprise networks, and multiple database technologies (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL, CouchDB). The role emphasizes compliance with major security frameworks and regional regulations while proactively mitigating cyber threats to safeguard vital business assets and information.

Primary Responsibilities

• Craft and enforce a comprehensive cyber security roadmap aligned with business goals and legal requirements.
• Develop, update, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for infrastructure, cloud, and applications.
• Work closely with cloud and infrastructure management to integrate security principles within architecture designs.
• Manage budgetary allocations, maintain vendor relations, and conduct evaluations for third-party risks.
• Ensure adherence to globally recognized standards like ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, or applicable local regulations.
• Supervise Security Operations Centre tasks including continuous monitoring, detection of cyber threats, and incident management.
• Oversee vulnerability scanning, penetration tests, and remediation strategies.
• Control and enhance security measures for servers, networks, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and database systems.
• Lead incident response initiatives and carry out forensic analyses for timely resolution and systemic improvement.
• Maintain robust identity and access management practices, privilege controls, and implement zero-trust security models.
• Perform regular risk assessments and security audits across IT environments.
• Administer enterprise endpoint security, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security information and event management tools.
• Promote cyber security awareness and training programs across the organization to reinforce security culture.
• Supervise data protection strategies including encryption and backup/recovery protocols.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and skill development opportunities for the cyber security team, including analysts, engineers, and responders.
• Establish clear performance metrics and KPIs for cyber defense and resilience programs.
• Create a motivating and engaging work environment aligning with company procedures and fostering team commitment and growth.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related discipline; master's degree preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, CCSP or equivalents required.
• Cloud security certifications like AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or Oracle Security are essential.
• Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) certification is advantageous.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Strong expertise in securing Windows/Linux servers, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle), and enterprise network environments.
• Proficient in securing enterprise databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL, and CouchDB.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
• At least 8 years of experience in IT security with a minimum of 3 years in a management capacity.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes security, container hardening, and cloud-native security technologies.
• Demonstrated success in leading incident response and managing crisis situations.
