Group Product Manager

About the Role

The Group Product Manager will oversee the lifecycle of product discovery and success for aviation domain products. This role is responsible for identifying potential new products, leading concept development aligned with commercial goals, and approving strategic roadmaps, budgets, and pricing plans for product introduction, launch, and promotion. The objective is to ensure delivery of engaging, user-friendly products that satisfy customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the entire product backlog and delivery process, ensuring development teams are supported and queries addressed swiftly.
• Guide sprint activities and remove obstacles to maximize team performance, ensuring product delivery meets deadlines.
• Prepare clear and concise user stories with defined acceptance criteria prior to sprints.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to prioritize the backlog aligning with product vision and client demands.
• Facilitate communication between business and development teams to maintain continuous value delivery.
• Review visuals produced by the UX team and validate quality.
• Evaluate QA test cases to assure product quality.
• Stay informed on industry trends and competitor practices to recommend improvements.
• Monitor development and product team performance and escalate issues to Product Managers as needed.
• Represent the company in client meetings and regularly gather feedback on products and services.

• Offer direction, coaching, and mentoring for team members' professional growth.
• Create a high-performance, engaged, and committed team environment.
• Manage people-related responsibilities effectively according to company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
• Certifications like Certified Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Product Owner, or Certified Scrum Product Owner are advantageous.
• Additional certifications such as PMP and PRINCE II add value.
• Robust technical background with understanding of software development processes.
• Deep knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
• Analytical skills capable of processing and synthesizing large datasets into actionable insights.
• Proficiency using collaboration platforms like Slack and JIRA.
• Fluent in English and competent with MS Office suite.

Experience

• 12 to 15 years of relevant experience in product management, technical management, or related areas.
• Subject matter expertise in technical management, solution design, and system architecture.
• Proven leadership managing product lifecycles and strategic decision-making.
• Hands-on experience preparing and analyzing business performance reports.
• Experience in budget management and cost estimation.
• Demonstrated success in initiating new projects and meeting company goals through strong technical and interpersonal skills.
• Solid background with Agile development and Scrum methodologies.
• Expertise in market research and benchmarking to identify best industry practices.
• Experience drafting policies, procedures, and conducting feasibility studies.
