About the Role and Company

Become part of our Financial Services Cyber Security practice as a Manager, contributing to a range of cyber security capabilities including strategy, programme management, risk assessment, and transformation within the Financial Services sector.
Location and Work Arrangement
This role is based in EY’s Edinburgh office with an expectation of being onsite at least three times per week.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage diverse Cyber Security engagements for Financial Services clients.
- Participate in business development tasks such as preparing proposals and delivering presentations to potential clients.
- Collaborate with UK and European teams to support market activities.
- Establish and nurture EY’s brand and client relationships.
- Manage financial aspects of projects, including staffing and fee tracking, reporting issues to partners.
- Foster strong internal collaborations across Consulting and other services.
- Mentor, coach, and supervise junior team members, advancing their professional growth.
- Conduct staff performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Engage in talent-related initiatives like recruitment, retention, and training of cyber professionals.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience advising Financial Services organizations on cyber security best practices aligned to their threat landscape.
- Ability to pragmatically identify and articulate cyber risks within complex transformations.
- Project management expertise in frameworks and activities including NIST CSF, CPMI-IOSCO, ISO, cyber assessments, implementation plans, roadmaps, strategy development, risk and controls frameworks, and program management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Financial Services cyber threat environment and UK regulatory frameworks such as PRA, FCA, BoE, ECB, and MAS.
- Familiarity with UK Financial Services security standards and regulations.
- Experience supporting proposal generation, RFP responses, and handling multinational engagement complexities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in people management and development.
- Certifications like CISSP, CISA, or CISM are advantageous.
Desirable Additional Expertise
- Experience with Cyber Security architecture design and implementation, including Cloud environments.
- Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions such as SailPoint.
- Understanding of Data Loss Protection and data privacy safeguards.
- Familiarity with security assessments including threat, vulnerability, and penetration testing methodologies like MITRE, CBEST, and TIBER.
