Manager, Commercial

Job Overview

This position is based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and requires leading all commercial and business development endeavors within the region. The primary focus is on engaging with Saudi Aramco and adhering to government regulations, while managing the complete commercial lifecycle from tender preparation through invoicing.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the commercial team, coordinating their efforts with headquarters.
• Conduct market intelligence, pricing analysis, and evaluation of competitors.
• Manage proposals, tender processes, budgeting, documentation, and post-tender discussions.
• Oversee contracts, invoicing, regulatory filings, and commercial reporting related to vessels.
• Assist the Finance department in budget creation and monthly financial updates.
• Establish and nurture client relationships, prioritizing Saudi Aramco and its contracted partners.
• Handle negotiations, payment processing, collections, and customer relationship management updates.
• Expand business opportunities, maintain a robust sales pipeline, and connect with vessel owners.
• Collect market intelligence and represent the company at relevant industry functions.
• Manage government relations to maintain necessary commercial permits and documentation.
• Ensure monthly updates of Aramco system data.
• Lead compliance initiatives including ZATCA electronic invoicing, cybersecurity standards, and ESG certifications.
• Supervise the invoicing department, supporting SAP and Aramco portal submissions.
• Coordinate documentation and verification processes related to billing.
• Lead reporting, data organization, and audit preparation for the IKTVA program.
• Collaborate across departments such as Operations, Insurance, Risk, Legal, and IT regarding Saudi Arabia-specific matters.
• Maintain internal commercial tracking reports and monitor vessel statuses.
