About the Role
We are seeking a fully qualified Management Accountant to join an expanding hospitality company based in Galway. This is an engaging and hands-on commercial finance position where you will collaborate closely with the General Manager and operational teams to deliver precise financial data and insights that drive business success. Previous experience in hospitality will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Provide financial analysis and commercial insights to aid effective decision-making.
- Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting and weekly cash flow management.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and creditor reconciliations.
- Monitor costs, financial performance, and profitability metrics.
- Maintain robust financial controls and enhance finance processes.
- Complete Revenue returns along with statutory financial reporting.
- Support the external audit process annually.
- Work closely with General Managers and operational managers on financial issues.
- Contribute to finance projects and address ad hoc financial questions.
Candidate Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent certification.
- Preferably has prior experience in the hospitality sector.
- Proven track record preparing monthly management accounts.
- Strong background in balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines efficiently.
- Familiarity with accounting and purchasing systems, budgeting, forecasting, and Revenue compliance is advantageous.
