Finance Manager

Overview

A private equity-backed Irish group in County Monaghan is expanding and seeks to hire a Finance Manager with experience from a top 10 accounting firm. This role offers a comprehensive, hands-on involvement in finance within a rapidly growing acquisitive business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead critical components of the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of management reports.
• Prepare and critically assess management accounts, reconcile balance sheets, and perform detailed financial analyses.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting, and audit processes.
• Analyze financial performance by investigating variances and transforming financial data into actionable commercial insights.
• Collaborate closely with operational and commercial teams to enhance decision-making.
• Maintain robust financial controls while identifying areas for improvement.
• Drive improvements and automation in Finance processes using NetSuite, Salesforce, and other systems.
• Engage in problem-solving, take ownership of tasks, and promote operational excellence across the Finance function.

Candidate Profile

• ACA qualification with up to 5 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong academic achievements.
• Prior experience in a Big Four or top 10 accounting firm is preferred.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions.
• A strong inclination towards data, technology, and finance systems.
• Commercially savvy, analytical thinker with a natural curiosity.
• Accountable and proactive individual who embraces ownership.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Additional Information

Salary range is €70,000 to €90,000 based on experience. The position includes hybrid working arrangements requiring 4 days onsite presence.
