Role Overview
The Maintenance Technician will collaborate closely with the Engineering Team to perform daily electrical and mechanical maintenance on machinery and production systems. Ensuring all tasks comply with Health & Safety protocols and site-specific policies is critical in this role.
Schedule & Location
This is a permanent position based at the UK Poultry - Amber site in West Bromwich, operating Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 11 PM (PM shift).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine electrical and mechanical upkeep on production machinery.
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety standards and employ Safe Systems of Work when performing maintenance.
- Support a dynamic, fast-paced production environment, primarily during afternoon shifts, managing all electrical engineering maintenance activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Possess either NVQ, HNC, or City & Guilds Level Certifications in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Maintenance, or have completed a relevant electrical engineering apprenticeship.
- Experience in fault-finding and resolving technical issues effectively.
- Knowledgeable in preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Preferably experienced in FMCG sectors or fast-paced operational settings; food manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Holding an 18th Edition Electrical Certificate is advantageous.
