Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Electrician/Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our workforce. This position entails installing, testing, troubleshooting, and fixing electrical equipment and systems within an industrial or commercial setting.

Key Duties

• Install, test, and commission electrical devices, wiring, and control systems ensuring adherence to specifications.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults utilizing appropriate testing instruments and electronic tools.
• Conduct repairs or replacements of defective wiring, components, or equipment as needed.
• Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Ensure all electrical work aligns with applicable safety codes, standards, and regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of electrical installations and equipment to maintain functionality.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess an NZQF Level 4 qualification in Electrical Trades or a minimum of three years relevant professional experience.
• Hold a current Electrical Registration and Practising Licence (EWRB or equivalent) to legally undertake electrical work.
• Demonstrated skills in electrical installation, maintenance tasks, and fault diagnosis.
• Capable of reading, understanding, and interpreting technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

Additional Information

The role is full time with guaranteed minimum of 30 working hours per week, generally averaging 40 hours weekly. The annual salary range offered falls between 100,000 and 125,000 NZD. The position is located on-site in Gore, New Zealand.
