Compliance Specialist

About the Role

Open Country Dairy Ltd seeks a detail-oriented Compliance Specialist based in Auckland to uphold accurate, regulatory-compliant, and trustworthy product information. This position reports directly to the Compliance Manager and focuses on maintaining precise customer technical documentation and ensuring compliance standards are met consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting and revising customer technical documents, statements, attestations, and product data forms.
• Managing product specifications, testing data, and customer-facing details within authorized systems and standardized templates.
• Organizing customer and periodic product testing, including active communication and follow-up with laboratories.
• Creating documentation to support product registrations, renewals, vendor approvals, and customer compliance mandates.
• Detecting data inconsistencies, recurring problems, and initiatives to enhance compliance workflows.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate thrives on attention to detail and enjoys systematically managing information that demands accuracy from the outset. They are adept at following established protocols, willing to seek clarification when necessary, and cooperate effectively with colleagues, customers, laboratories, and third-party partners.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Possession of NCEA Level 2 or an equivalent qualification.
• Two to three years of relevant experience in dairy, food processing, quality assurance, customer support, or technical administration.
• Strong skills in administration, numeracy, digital tools, and communication.
• Exceptional attention to detail and confidence in handling technical data.
• A dependable, collaborative, and customer-service-oriented mindset.
• Preferred qualifications include quality assurance, food technology, dairy processing, or an allied discipline.
• Experience with customer-facing technical workflows, ERP platforms, master data management, laboratory testing protocols, or specification documentation is advantageous.
