About the Role
Amazon is expanding its Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering team at the new Horsley Park facility in Sydney and is looking to recruit Maintenance Technicians for night shift roles. These positions focus on keeping the facility's material handling equipment, automated packaging, and distribution machinery running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled proactive and preventative maintenance on equipment across the site.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve faults in machinery within a live warehouse environment.
- Develop and execute long-term improvements aimed at minimizing equipment downtime.
- Utilize specialized tools to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Adhere to and advocate for workplace Health & Safety protocols.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of formal trade credentials such as Certificate III in Electrotechnology with a current electrical trade license, Certificate III in Engineering, or Mechanical Trade qualifications (Fitter/Turner), or equivalent qualifications recognized in Australia.
- Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
- Proven skills in fault finding within Material Handling Equipment and automation systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Experience maintaining conveyors, motor controllers, and inverters.
- Knowledge and practice of relevant health and safety standards and regulations.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Experience servicing sortation machines.
- Experience with barcode scanner maintenance and configuration.
- Knowledge of print and apply machine upkeep.
Work Schedule and Benefits
The available positions operate on a night shift schedule with a four-day roster consisting of 10-hour shifts. These permanent roles come with entitlements such as annual leave and applicable penalty rates.
