With direct operations covering 7 regions in Middle East, Turkey & Africa, KONE is expanding and seeking maintenance technicians with a strong service orientation to deliver professional maintenance services for elevators and escalators.
Role Summary
As a vital part of KONE’s team, you will ensure customer satisfaction through quality service provision, proactive communication, and maintaining equipment safety and efficiency. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, addressing call-outs, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting of tasks performed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer relationships via regular, clear on-site communication including call-out ETAs and job summaries.
- Provide accurate real-time updates about maintenance work on the equipment.
- Ensure equipment safety and optimal operational performance at all times.
- Identify and report site risks to supervisors and immediately act on high-risk issues following escalation protocols.
- Detect and document unplanned repair needs arising during service visits.
- Maintain the safety of end-users and comply with safety protocols during all operations.
- Carry out maintenance and repair tasks in accordance with prescribed safety and procedural guidelines.
- Complete service visits, including planned maintenance, call-outs, and repairs within scheduled timeframes and quality standards.
- Generate sales leads for supervisor follow-up when appropriate.
- Submit precise and timely back reports and timesheets aligned with company processes.
- Keep all tools, vehicles, and instruments in safe, serviceable condition.
- Regularly update supervisors on relevant site and operational information.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- ITI or Vocational Certificate Course/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Automation Engineering or related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic IT and digital literacy skills preferred.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting within a reputable elevator company.
- Valid GCC driving license is a plus.
