Role Overview

This position involves setting up and maintaining automated vial and syringe filling machinery at Viatris (Mylan Teoranta). The role includes upkeep and repairs for plant equipment and utilities, aiming to advance maintenance maturity towards industry excellence standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate setup, conduct planned maintenance, and troubleshoot automated vial and syringe filling systems.
• Maintain equipment and utilities with documentation adhering to GMP standards.
• Coordinate external contractors during equipment installations and scheduled services.
• Manage inventory of spare parts, consumables, and services to ensure compliance with equipment schedules.
• Develop and apply Reliability Centered Maintenance strategies using Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analyses in collaboration with departments and engineering teams, leveraging tools like trend analysis, control charts, and data review.
• Assist in creating and revising maintenance and calibration documentation including PMs, data sheets, work instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
• Support compliance relating to safety events, quality events, CAPAs, change management, and investigations; help diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical equipment issues.
• Ensure maintenance routines, procedures, and work plans meet cGMP, EHS, and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to local, global, and regulatory cGMP and EHS requirements.
• Be flexible regarding overtime, shift coverage, on-call duties, and other assignments as directed.

Required Skills and Experience

• Certification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combined education and experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Conflict management and negotiation capabilities.
• Structured decision-making skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PM systems.
• Experience preparing reports and presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, interpret business documents, and compile technical reports.
• Effective collaboration and communication with peers.
• Physical capability to perform tasks including standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and medium to heavy lifting; able to use hands and arms for lifting and maneuvering equipment and items; compliance with personal protective equipment usage (respiratory protection, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, protective clothing).
