Maintenance Officer

Overview

Calvary Health Care in Norlane, Victoria is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Officer to join their team at Vonlea Manor Aged Care. This permanent, full-time position focuses on maintaining a secure, comfortable environment that supports the well-being of residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks including gardening duties as assigned.
• Review maintenance logs to prioritize tasks and manage contractor schedules.
• Collaborate with the Home Manager to plan and organize maintenance activities throughout the facility.
• Manage ordering and storage of maintenance supplies.
• Promptly address hazards, incidents, and maintenance-related events to ensure safety.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in a maintenance or gardening role.
• Commitment to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and infection control procedures.
• Dedication to providing customer-focused service.
• Possession of a valid Class drivers licence.
• Understanding of aged care environments, including retirement village or independent living settings.
• Relevant trade qualifications and/or practical experience.
