About the Role
Join ALS Geochemistry in Malaga as a hands-on Maintenance All Rounder, contributing to a global team focused on scientific testing and data analysis to foster a healthier future. This role is perfect for candidates who take pride in addressing diverse general maintenance tasks within a laboratory environment, working on various building projects beyond just carpentry or construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of maintenance and repair tasks across the facility.
- Work on construction and building-related projects including cutting timber, installing shelving, hanging doors, and other minor repairs.
- Communicate effectively with maintenance team members, section supervisors, and Facility Management to report equipment issues and downtimes promptly.
- Engage in continuous learning on maintenance and repair of laboratory and on-site equipment, supported by comprehensive on-the-job training.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in general maintenance, building repairs, or related projects.
- Knowledge or experience in carpentry and joinery highly preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings and perform mechanical tasks.
- Additional skills or eagerness to learn trades such as welding, plumbing, tiling, painting, or demolition valued.
- Possess a current manual C Class driver's license.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively to a team environment.
- Strong personal work ethic and ability to manage a varied workload.
