Project Overview

The position supports the leading global short-video platform’s recommendation systems facing challenges such as new user data sparsity, timeliness of live streaming recommendations, user interest diversity maintenance, and complexities in e-commerce recommendation chains. Issues include cold-start difficulties due to reliance on historical user behavior, demands for sub-30-minute real-time live-streaming content adaptation, and risks of content homogenization fatigue in multi-stage e-commerce funnels.

The initiative aims to leverage large language models (LLMs) and associated large-scale technologies. LLMs will infer potential new user intentions from registration and external data to mitigate cold-start issues, while graph neural networks (GNNs) combined with comprehensive user behavior sequences will refine social preference modeling and interest prediction accuracy. Additionally, long-context understanding and generalized capabilities of large models will simplify e-commerce recommendation pipelines, improve system adaptiveness to real-time changes, and increase the effectiveness of exploratory recommendations. The goal is a streamlined, accurate, and user-retentive recommendation system supporting sustainable business growth.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related disciplines is required.
  • Demonstrated strong programming expertise alongside sound software design and coding skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving aptitude, analytical thinking, passion for technological advancement, and solid communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Familiarity with machine learning, natural language processing, and/or data mining required; experience in recommendation systems, computational advertising, or search engines is a significant advantage.
