Role Overview

Reporting to the Trading Lead, Global LPG, you will join the Singapore NGL Trading team. Your primary responsibility is supporting LPG trading efforts while collaborating with regional and global traders to develop and implement strategies that enhance profitability and optimize positions in diverse markets. This role involves analyzing markets and positions, executing trades, managing risks, and coordinating between front-, middle-, and back-office groups to ensure precise and effective trade and position management. Occasional backup for Naphtha trading activities will also be part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Trading Lead, Global LPG, and NGL Trader in formulating and executing LPG trading strategies globally, enriching your commercial and trading knowledge.
  • Negotiate and finalize spot and term physical and financial transactions within authorized trading limits and risk boundaries.
  • Conduct risk and position assessments, fostering collaboration among front-, middle-, and back-office teams to ensure accurate trade capture and position reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with the Naphtha trader and provide substitute support as needed.
  • Input transactions accurately into trading platforms and contribute to developing and maintaining daily physical and financial hedging programs.
  • Develop deep expertise in East of Suez LPG and Naphtha markets under mentorship from senior traders and the Trading Lead.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in the energy sector, including at least two years specifically in LPG trading.
  • Proficient understanding of pricing, volume exposure, and risk management tools and strategies.
  • Familiarity with LPG cargo logistics, shipping operations, and associated economic factors.
  • Strong knowledge of LPG supply-demand dynamics and analytical methodologies.
  • Advanced skills in computer applications.
  • Strategic mindset passionate about energy and global market trends.
  • Results-driven, capable of independent and decisive action in dynamic environments.
  • Team-oriented with analytical and entrepreneurial qualities, thriving under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at engaging with diverse business and cultural groups.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Naphtha trading is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Background in ship tracking is preferred.
