Job description
Position Overview
The Loss Prevention Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining safety and security across the property. The role involves patrolling all property areas, securing rooms, assisting guests with room access, monitoring surveillance systems, conducting safety inspections, and responding promptly to emergencies. This supervisor will lead investigations, manage key control audits, and ensure compliance with policies while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Patrol the property extensively and secure all rooms to ensure safety.
- Assist guests accessing rooms and provide emergency response support, including first aid and CPR when necessary.
- Conduct regular emergency drills, physical hazard safety checks, and respond efficiently to accidents or disturbances.
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems, authorize and document access to secure areas, and escort unauthorized individuals off premises.
- Handle complaints and interruptions following company procedures and enforce compliance with alcoholic beverage laws.
- Collaborate with management to train, motivate, and coach staff while serving as a role model and the initial contact for fair treatment policies.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete required safety training, and maintain professional appearance and confidentiality.
- Engage guests warmly per company standards, listen and respond to employee concerns, and support teamwork towards shared goals.
- Perform physical tasks including moving and lifting objects up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier items with assistance, navigating various terrains and confined spaces, and performing duties requiring manual dexterity and coordination.
- Carry out any reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in loss prevention or security roles.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity.
- No specific license or certification requirements.
