Logistics Support Officer

Role Overview

The Logistics Support Officer is an entry-level position tasked with facilitating smooth warehouse and supply chain functions. Responsibilities include precise inventory handling, material management, and prompt distribution of goods. The role involves managing stock reception and issuance, maintaining inventory logs and SAP records, aiding procurement and disposal processes, and organizing warehouse activities across various sites. This position collaborates with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring reliable logistics services while upholding safety standards, compliance, and professionalism.

Work Hours

This full-time role requires working Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:00, totaling 38 hours weekly.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing materials across multiple warehouses, ensuring accuracy in inventory records and SAP system entries.
• Preparing shipment packaging, palletizing, dispatching consignments including AMC freight, and completing related documentation.
• Performing site deliveries, assisting in stocktaking activities, identifying and reporting inventory discrepancies, and supporting procurement, disposal, and warehouse maintenance functions.
• Delivering responsive customer service to stakeholders, while maintaining safety, compliance, and operational efficiency in logistics.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Capable of independently lifting and managing loads up to 25 kilograms routinely.
• Physical endurance for tasks involving extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and repetitive movements.
• Competence in operating material handling equipment and securely managing heavy items as required.
• Comfort working outdoors and in remote locations, regardless of weather variations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Basic proficiency with computers and aptitude to learn inventory systems such as SAP.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.
• High attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping skills.

Security Clearance

Must hold an NV-1/SECRET Department of Defence (Australia) or SSBI (U.S.) clearance, with the capacity to obtain higher security clearances if necessary.

Education and Experience

• Completion of secondary school or an equivalent relevant experience.
• At least six months of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain roles or closely related fields.

Preferred Credentials

• Experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
• Certification for forklift operation and materials handling.
• Possession of an HR (Heavy Rigid) driver’s license.
• White Card certification.
• Familiarity with SAP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or similar inventory platforms.
• Background in administration and inventory control.
• Capability to perform efficiently with minimal supervision within team environments.
