About the Role
The Logistics Officer will be responsible for supervising the entire inbound and outbound logistics processes along with effective inventory control. This role ensures seamless communication with various stakeholders including carriers, suppliers, warehouse teams, and customs brokers to facilitate timely and efficient delivery and shipment of goods.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee merchandise intake at the warehouse, monitor inventory levels, and handle any reporting on damaged goods.
- Handle purchase transactions and coordinate with the finance department by submitting forwarder invoices.
- Manage outgoing shipments for customer orders, ensuring smooth dispatch and delivery.
- Liaise with clearing and forwarding agents to monitor shipment progress and turnaround times.
- Arrange transport logistics for shipment delivery to the final destination.
- Consistently track shipments and provide prompt updates to customers.
- Collaborate with warehouse and service teams to execute shipments efficiently.
- Work closely with customs and clearing agents to optimize processing time and quality.
- Verify export documentation and the legal transfer of ownership paperwork.
- Maintain stock movement records accurately via the warehouse management system and ERP software.
- Conduct monthly stock audits and ensure timely and accurate entries in ERP and CRM systems.
- Coordinate with planning, finance, service, and credit departments to facilitate invoicing of customer orders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Have 3 to 5 years of practical experience in logistics or supply chain management roles.
