Logistics Field Representative

Role Overview

The Logistics Field Representative (LFR) acts as the essential operational link between Airbus Helicopters' strategic supply chain plans and their practical implementation on client sites. Charged with optimizing the movement of goods to ensure efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness, the LFR is embedded at the customer's location, fostering strong daily collaborative relationships and handling on-site logistics challenges effectively and autonomously.

Key Duties

• Serve as the principal on-site logistics contact, strengthening professional ties with customer stakeholders.
• Proactively engage and partner with clients to guide demand forecasting and inventory management.
• Address logistical issues promptly, including damaged shipments or inventory discrepancies, reducing reliance on escalations.
• Collect localized operational data to aid central teams in supply chain optimization.
• Promote Airbus and industry best practices regarding logistics and warehouse management.
• Enforce strict compliance with aviation quality, safety standards, and proper documentation verification, including airworthiness and Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations.
• Manage full replenishment cycles for parts, advise on procurement choices, and supervise warehouse stock movements and record accuracy.
• Support customer training on technical documentation and ensure transport planning aligns with client needs and industry standards.
• Prepare and distribute comprehensive monthly reports, monitor performance against KPIs, and oversee contract execution and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide export control guidance in compliance with ITAR, EU, and French regulations.
• Train local customer center front-office staff to enhance operational efficiency.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum five years’ experience in supply chain roles, preferably in aerospace and helicopter sectors.
• Proven ability to collaborate with customers and stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
• Strong autonomy in managing complex, cross-functional operational goals on client premises.
• Technical understanding of aerospace equipment and related processes for effective oversight.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms like SAP, and basic data analysis tools.
• Demonstrated skills in demand forecasting advising, inventory planning, problem-solving, and handling logistics escalations promptly.
