Role Overview
This analytical, hands-on position involves producing insightful reporting, conducting cost analysis, and supporting strategic logistics decisions across warehousing, transport, and export functions. Reporting to the Group Logistics Manager, you'll enhance understanding of logistics expenses, evaluate supplier and operational performance, pinpoint improvement prospects, and boost network visibility nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate logistics-related invoices and investigate discrepancies while maintaining precise rate cards and pricing schedules.
- Create detailed cost reports, forecasts, dashboards, and KPIs covering warehousing, transportation, inventory, carriers, and export services.
- Analyze inventory flow, storage efficiency, and identify slow-moving or surplus stock to aid in reconciliation and capacity planning.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensure SLA compliance, manage claims, corrective actions, and drive resolution processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities to cut logistics costs, optimize processes, and standardize reporting practices.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is practical, commercially minded, and detail-oriented, with the confidence to interpret operational data and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers to inform decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience
- Two to five years of experience in logistics, supply chain, inventory, or operations analysis.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel and strong data analytical capabilities.
- Skills in financial forecasting and comprehensive reporting.
- Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL), transport, warehouse, or other logistics suppliers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
