Localization Web Developer

Role Overview

We seek a skilled Localization Web Developer to assist our international marketing teams in engaging multilingual audiences effectively. The primary focus is to ensure thorough quality assurance for all localized versions of our Homepage, covering currently nine languages and potentially more in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform website localization quality assurance (LQA) by reviewing every published page to verify proper UI presentation, localized assets and links, region-specific SEO and URLs, and adherence to localization best practices.
• Manage the localization workflow by prioritizing tasks, coordinating with stakeholders, requesting translations as necessary, and implementing the LQA strategy site-wide.
• Collaborate closely across functions, including regional marketing and the U.S. team, to gather requirements and develop scalable localization solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve localization issues within a high-volume environment using your expertise in CAT tools, translation, localization workflows, and CMS technology, while considering cross-departmental impacts like SEO, content, paid media, and design.
• Undertake additional duties as required.

Candidate Profile

• While not mandatory, a bachelor's degree in a technological field is advantageous.
• More than five years experience programming with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is required.
• Familiarity with WordPress is essential; experience with other CMS platforms and WPML is a plus.
• Strong organizational and project management skills to manage multiple complex demands effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• A disciplined approach to documentation to facilitate problem-solving and continuous service improvement.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills; proficiency in an additional language such as French or German is preferred.
• Critical attention to detail to identify any factors affecting user experience on each page.
• Ability to communicate clearly and provide sound guidance when immediate fixes are not feasible.
• Experience with CAT tools like memoQ and familiarity with project management methodologies are beneficial.
