Role Overview
The Loan Advisor role is a full-time, on-site position in Singapore, focused on guiding clients in selecting appropriate loan products. Responsibilities include assessing client eligibility, reviewing financial details and credit reports, supporting underwriting processes, and explaining loan conditions, risks, and repayment terms clearly and empathetically. Collaboration with credit specialists, accurate record-keeping, adherence to regulations, and delivering excellent customer service are critical. The role also contributes to financial education initiatives for clients' lasting financial health.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on various loan options aligned with their financial objectives.
- Assess eligibility and review financial and credit information for underwriting support.
- Communicate loan terms, associated risks, and repayment requirements in an understandable and compassionate way.
- Maintain accurate client documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with internal credit professionals and respond effectively to client questions.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing clients' financial literacy and long-term financial wellbeing.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of consumer, mortgage, and business loan products.
- Strong client service orientation with skills in building trust and managing client expectations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills capable of simplifying complex financial topics.
- Basic understanding of finance, credit reporting, debt management, and underwriting processes.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or credit advisory roles is preferable.
- Ability to work on-site in Singapore while handling multiple cases with meticulous attention to detail.
- Diploma or degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related fields is advantageous.
- Familiarity with local regulatory frameworks and ethical lending standards is beneficial.
