Loading Supervisor / Dispatch Supervisor

Job Overview

We are seeking a Loading Supervisor / Dispatch Supervisor for a steel manufacturing and trading company based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This role involves overseeing the loading and dispatch activities of finished steel products to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate deliveries aligned with safety and quality standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee daily loading and dispatch processes ensuring effective execution.
• Plan and arrange vehicle movements to maintain prompt delivery schedules.
• Authenticate dispatch documentation including Delivery Challans, Invoices, E-Way Bills, and LR copies.
• Confirm the accuracy of materials loaded, including quantity, grade, size, and weight.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Stores, Sales, and Logistics teams for coordinated operations.
• Supervise manpower involved in loading to ensure optimal use of resources.
• Ensure proper stacking, handling, and safe loading practices for steel materials.
• Maintain thorough dispatch documentation, vehicle logs, and daily dispatch reports.
• Apply FIFO principles where relevant to inventory handling.
• Address and resolve any dispatch issues or customer delivery concerns promptly.
• Enforce compliance with safety policies throughout loading operations.
• Coordinate activities with transporters and drivers to facilitate smooth dispatch.
• Conduct daily inspections of loading equipment and communicate maintenance needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the loading and dispatch area.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience ranging from fresh to 5 years in relevant supervisory roles.
• Education qualification includes completion of PUC, Diploma, or any graduate degree.
• Knowledge of MS Excel is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP or SAP systems is considered an added advantage.
