About the Role and Location
This full-time, permanent position is based in Carnarvon, Western Australia. You will find yourself part of a dedicated team in a unique coastal town known for its warm climate, vibrant community, and memorable lifestyle. Key Responsibilities
As a Lineworker, your duties will include building, maintaining, and repairing electricity distribution networks in Carnarvon and its neighboring remote communities. Your role involves troubleshooting faults, quickly restoring power, and performing switching operations on both high and low voltage systems. Additionally, you will contribute to upgrades of the network and participate in an on-call duty roster, traveling as needed to support other regional depots.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- A Certificate III in ElectroSpin Industry (ESI) Distribution Overhead is essential.
- Practical experience working with overhead and/or underground distribution networks.
- Possession of a C-Class driver’s license is mandatory; a Heavy Rigid (HR) license is preferred.
- Certifications or competencies in Elevated Work Platforms (EWP), Working at Heights, and Dogging/Rigging.
- Proven ability in switching operations and effective fault diagnosis.
- A strong commitment to safety with the capacity to remain calm and methodical under pressure.
