Linen Runner - Housekeeping

Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort, located in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, is seeking a committed Linen Runner to support its housekeeping department.

Job Responsibilities

• Efficiently gather, sort, and transport linens within the premises.
• Conduct thorough inspections of linens for cleanliness, quality, and any damage at multiple stages.
• Safely operate industrial laundry machines following all safety guidelines.
• Maintain precise records of linen inventory and communicate any shortages or inconsistencies.
• Fold, press, and ready linens for delivery to appropriate locations.
• Ensure the working environment is clean, well-organized, and hazard-free.
• Adhere strictly to safety standards and housekeeping protocols.
• Support fellow housekeeping staff with additional duties as needed.
• Promptly inform management about any maintenance needs or equipment issues.
• Be dependable and punctual in fulfilling daily shift requirements.

• Possess physical endurance with capability to lift and move heavy items regularly.
• Exhibit high attention to detail along with an appreciation for quality.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and effective time management.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Maintain consistent punctuality and reliability.
• Have a fundamental understanding of laundry processes and fabric care techniques.
• Competency in operating industrial laundry equipment safely.
• Willingness to take flexible hours, including early mornings or later evenings.
• Prior experience in housekeeping, laundry, or hospitality sectors is favorable.
• Knowledge of various fabric categories and appropriate cleaning methods is preferred.
• Experience with inventory management software is also advantageous.
