Linen Keeper

Role Overview

The Linen Keeper plays a pivotal role in managing all linen and terry inventory onboard the ship. This position requires close coordination with Suite Hosts, the Laundry team, and the Tailor to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the controlled inventory of linen, including tablecloths, napkins, and towels used throughout the ship.
• Oversee daily distribution and usage of linen across various sections and outlets.
• Track special items like pillows and baby cribs allocated to guests during their voyage.
• Monitor linen usage by housekeeping departments for guests and staff, supervising packing tasks per shift done by Suite Hosts and Public Area Attendants.
• Support the Tailor and Laundry teams as operational needs demand.
• Conduct monthly inventory counts of all linen and terry stocked in the Linen store and main laundry, collaborating with the Laundry Master and Hotel team.
• Assist with luggage loading upon request from the Housekeeper.
• Participate actively in daily team meetings and ensure compliance with Public Health protocols.
• Adapt to additional duties as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior cruise ship experience is beneficial.
• Physical capability to perform duties involving climbing, bending, repetitive motions, and occasional heavy lifting.
• Proficiency with computers and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Fluent communication skills in both spoken and written English.
• Possession of valid passport, visas, and certificates mandatory as per company and travel regulations.
