About the Role
Tesco Ireland is seeking a dedicated Line Manager for its Youghal store who will lead and support a department and team to deliver an excellent shopping experience. This role involves coaching, team leadership, managing key performance indicators, and ensuring all departmental operations and safety protocols are followed accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team to provide outstanding customer service, maintain high standards, and ensure product availability.
- Meet departmental key performance targets consistently.
- Make daily decisions that empower colleagues to perform effectively.
- Implement training plans to ensure all staff are fully trained, competent, and hold up-to-date training certifications.
- Complete all departmental processes, routines, and systems accurately and punctually.
- Plan seasonal, promotional, and trade activities to maximize sales impact and visual presentation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and resolve any safety issues.
- Manage colleague objectives, conduct regular reviews, career discussions, and maintain active personal development plans (PDP).
- Provide consistent coaching and feedback to enhance team skills and confidence.
- Foster a workplace culture of innovation, personal growth, and enthusiasm where customers enjoy shopping and colleagues enjoy working.

- Prioritize customers in every action and interaction.
- Maintain product quality through careful handling and ensure availability.
- Keep sales floor and stock areas tidy and organized.
- Follow department routines and company policies strictly.
- Support other departments as needed to ensure smooth store operations.
Experience & Requirements
- Previous management experience is essential.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer and colleague service.
- Adaptable and agile thinker capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Recognized as the primary contact for departmental queries.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders is a plus.
- Retail experience preferred.
