Role Overview

As a Lighting Artist on our team, you will play a key role in bringing to life the diverse environments of Star Citizen, our expansive universe consisting of multiple solar systems and varied locales. You'll be tasked with designing immersive, high-quality cinematic realtime lighting scenarios ranging from atmospheric space stations to vibrant neon cityscapes on alien planets. The art direction centers on Cinematic Sci-Fi Realism, and your work will contribute to setting the tone and mood that enhances the visual storytelling and art presentation.

This position is based onsite at our Manchester, UK studio.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft authentic and cinematic lighting arrangements for different game environments.
• Ensure lighting implementations are optimized to meet realtime rendering budget constraints.
• Collaborate closely with the Lighting Lead and Art Director to ensure alignment with the artistic vision.
• Work in partnership with other teams to deliver an outstanding player experience.

• Deep knowledge of physically based rendering principles.
