About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Liferay Developer or Senior Liferay Developer, bringing 5 to 10 years of experience in designing and maintaining enterprise-level digital platforms using Liferay DXP or Liferay Portal. This role involves the creation, development, and deployment of robust portal solutions, backend integration, and the delivery of quality web applications that comply with enterprise architectural guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop customized portlets, hooks, services, and modules using Liferay DXP / Liferay 7.x technologies.
- Create applications with Liferay MVC Portlet framework and modular OSGi components.
- Craft and modify themes, page layouts, and component fragments leveraging HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Configure and tailor Liferay workflows, asset management, and content handling capabilities.
- Build backend services employing Java, Spring framework, and RESTful APIs.
- Utilize Service Builder to facilitate database connectivity and implement business logic.
- Connect Liferay platforms with external systems through REST or SOAP APIs, microservices architecture, and middleware solutions.
- Integrate identity management solutions including Single Sign-On (SSO), OAuth, and SAML protocols.
- Interface with CRM and ERP systems, incorporate search technologies like Elasticsearch, and support headless API implementations.
- Enable frontend integration with frameworks such as React and Angular through headless Liferay configurations.
- Collaborate on development pipelines using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- Handle deployment and management within containerized environments utilizing Docker and Kubernetes on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alert mechanisms for portal applications to ensure reliability and performance.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Proficient in Liferay DXP / Liferay 7.x platforms.
- Skilled in Java and J2EE technologies.
- Strong experience with the OSGi modular framework.
- Knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Expertise in developing RESTful web services and using Service Builder.
- Frontend skills with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and preferably React or Angular.
- Experience with Liferay theme creation and fragment development.
- Database management skills including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, along with SQL query optimization.
- Search technologies familiarity (Elasticsearch or Solr).
- Competent with DevOps tools such as Git, Maven, and Gradle, plus CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience deploying on container orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes and on cloud infrastructures including AWS or Azure.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
