Role Overview
The Lifeguard is responsible for safeguarding the wellbeing of hotel guests and staff within designated swimming areas throughout operational hours.
Key Duties
- Maintain safety of guests and associates in assigned pool areas during business hours.
- Possess and hold current Lifeguard certification as well as authorization to perform Artificial Respiration (AR) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Set up and maintain safety equipment including lifesaving flotation devices around the pool edges, proper display of safety flags, first aid kits, signage of business hours, pool depth, and monitoring water and air temperatures.
- Promptly respond to emergencies occurring within the swimming zones and ensure that rescue boats are always accessible.
- Complete other related job responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of Lifeguard certification.
- Professional experience of between two to five years in lifeguarding or a similar role.
- Competent English communication skills.
- A pleasant and approachable demeanor.
- Capability to manage pressure effectively while multitasking.
