Lifeguard

Overview

Belgravia Leisure is seeking dedicated and friendly lifeguards to join their team at the Mill Park Leisure Centre located in Victoria, Australia. This role focuses on ensuring the safety of patrons and maintaining day-to-day pool operations in a vibrant community environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pool operations to maintain a secure and pleasant environment for all visitors.
• Ensure areas in and around the pool are safe and enjoyable.
• Demonstrate a commitment to water safety and customer service excellence with energetic and outgoing engagement.
• Communicate effectively with a diverse range of patrons, including people of all ages, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.

Skills and Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication abilities to interact with patrons and colleagues.
• Strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) protocols pertinent to aquatic facilities.
• Availability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Capacity to work competently independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Mandatory certifications including Current First Aid Level 2, CPR Certificate, Pool Lifeguard Certificate, and a cleared National Police Check.
• Previous lifeguarding experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
