Licensed Aircraft Engineer - Cabin Maintenance

Role Overview

As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer focused on Cabin Maintenance, you will perform maintenance duties critical to supporting flight operations and ensuring aircraft safety and efficiency. This position involves applying your specialized knowledge and expertise to maintain high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently plan and execute assigned maintenance activities using relevant equipment and tools while adhering to company procedures.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to work procedures and standards to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Authorize completion of maintenance tasks performed by mechanics, ensuring compliance with Qatar Airways and customer standards including dispatch reliability and defect management.
• Guarantee the quality and delivery standards of aircraft maintenance tasks align with set policies and support both internal and external customers effectively.
• Resolve technical issues within your authority and maintain aircraft and component serviceability to meet scheduling requirements.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to technicians and aircraft mechanics reporting to you.
• When supervising others, ensure workmanship quality and proper tools usage are consistently maintained.
• Carry out additional related duties as assigned by the department head.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Possess a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, or equivalent trade/vocational qualification, or a Bachelor’s degree (B.Eng, BSc) in Aircraft Engineering.
• Hold a minimum of one full Qatar Airways main fleet ICAO/QCAA aircraft maintenance license with necessary approvals.
• For internal candidates, at least three years of relevant aircraft certifying experience as an EN.00 certified engineer is required.
• Ability to obtain or have a heavy vehicle driving license as required to perform maintenance-related tasks.
• Competent in identifying appropriate tools and equipment necessary for various jobs.
• Apply mathematical skills effectively to address operational problems.
• Manage and control operations of equipment and systems proficiently.
