About the Role
We are seeking a Lecturer in Construction Management to join our academic team, part of a partnership with Bath Spa University. This is a full-time permanent position based onsite in Leeds, requiring availability for teaching during weekdays, evenings, and weekends. This role is aimed at candidates passionate about education and eager to inspire students in the construction management industry, focusing on their long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures and create digital learning materials tailored to current construction industry standards, including legal, environmental, and technological aspects.
- Guide students through fundamental theories, concepts, and evidence-based practices across various construction management topics such as measurement, building appraisal, performance, and project management.
- Provide constructive feedback on student work and progress, addressing individual needs and facilitating enhanced learning through digital resources and research activities.
- Continuously assess and document the quality of teaching to identify opportunities for improving student learning experiences.
Candidate Profile

Candidates should hold a Master's degree in a relevant field, with a PhD preferred. Prior lecturing experience in UK higher education and strong subject expertise are essential.
- Experience supervising and supporting adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Proven ability to manage detailed student records and generate comprehensive progress reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferably possess or be willing to pursue a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice, equivalent teaching certification, or Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
