Learning Specialist for 2-Hour Learning Program (Remote)

About the Role

The 2-Hour Learning model offers children the opportunity to complete a full academic day in only two concentrated hours, freeing up afternoons for creative and physical activities. As the Learning Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and advancing this innovative education system powered by AI metrics and personalized coaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Generating detailed Academic Data Reports and conducting systematic analyses to identify problems, detect irregularities, and initiate solutions within a 48-hour timeframe.
• Leading swift intervention calls and offering post-assessment coaching sessions aimed at removing barriers, distinguishing learning gaps from simple errors, and keeping students motivated.
• Evaluating and implementing new educational technologies and content while experimenting with AI and large language model (LLM) tools to enhance learning strategies and solve specific challenges.
• Partnering with leadership to improve learning tools, dashboards, and mastery benchmarks as the AI tutoring system evolves.

What This Role Does Not Include

• Participating in lengthy meetings or delivering generic presentations without measurable impact.
• Managing traditional educational tasks such as grading, lesson planning, or classroom supervision; the approach relies on AI and innovation.
• Remaining at a purely strategic level or performing monotonous tasks; this role requires hands-on, fast-paced involvement.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of one year in coaching, training, or instructional roles.
• At least one year of consistent experience supporting K-8 students individually or in small groups, focusing on learning habits, motivation, self-management, test strategies, or executive functioning routines.
• One year combining hands-on data analysis with direct learner support.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for data analysis, including use of advanced functions like lookups, filters, pivot tables, and charts.
• At least six months of professional use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot to achieve real work outcomes beyond casual tasks.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Central Time.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge or training in learning science or educational methodologies, with a proven record of improving student outcomes through data-driven practices.
• Experience with generative AI, prompt engineering, and basic programming skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript) to interact with AI APIs.

Additional Details

This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week with immediate start available. Employment is as an independent contractor through Crossover. Compensation is $30/hour, corresponding to an approximate annual salary of $60,000 based on 40 hours per week for 50 weeks. Payments are made weekly.
