Learning Specialist - 2-Hour Learning Model (Remote)

About the Role

The Learning Specialist position supports an innovative educational model where students complete a full academic curriculum in just two focused hours daily. This role is fully remote and involves utilizing AI-driven performance data to guide learners to achieve at least 90% mastery. You'll provide live coaching to overcome challenges, analyze data trends to optimize learning outcomes, and contribute to AI tool development to boost educational velocity.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate detailed Academic Data Reports and conduct systematic reviews to detect and correct issues within a 48-hour timeframe.
• Lead intervention calls and post-assessment coaching to address learning obstacles, differentiate true knowledge gaps from errors, and maintain student engagement and motivation.
• Evaluate and implement new educational technologies and content, as well as prototype AI and large language model (LLM) solutions to enhance learning methods and resolve specific challenges.
• Work closely with leadership teams to improve educational tools, dashboards, and mastery criteria as AI tutoring systems evolve.

Non-Responsibilities

• No attendance of lengthy meetings or generic presentations unrelated to measurable results.
• No traditional tasks such as grading assignments, lesson planning, or managing conventional educational frameworks.
• No purely strategic or routine work; this role requires hands-on, fast-paced execution.

Basic Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of experience in coaching, training, or instructional roles.
• At least one year of involvement in recurring one-on-one or small group academic coaching for K-8 students, focusing on learning habits, motivation, self-direction, test-taking behavior, or executive function.
• At least one year of experience combining data analysis with direct learner support.
• Proficiency of at least one year in using Google Sheets or Excel for data tasks including lookups, filters, pivot tables, and chart creation.
• Six months or more using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot in professional settings to produce tangible outcomes beyond casual inquiries.
• Availability to work weekdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Central Time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational background or experience in learning science or the application of data-driven educational strategies.
• Experience with generative AI, prompt engineering, and foundational coding skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for AI API interaction.

Employment Details

• This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, remote contract position.
• The role starts immediately and requires an independent contractor agreement.
• Compensation is $30 USD per hour, equating to $60,000 USD annually based on 40 hours per week over 50 weeks.
• Payments are disbursed weekly.
