Overview
KPMG Jamaica operates a delivery center known as Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS) based in Kingston, offering back office support for KPMG United States. Expansion of the Learning & Development function at JESS calls for support in the Administration and Compliance process area. The team collaborates closely with stakeholders from the client under an extended team model to maintain operational support.
Job Summary
The Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Governance team requires support for tasks including weekly control reporting, preparation of multiple reports relevant to the Client’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS) education sponsorship, and conducting monthly compliance audits. These audits ensure course and class quality, accuracy, and adherence to NASBA’s CPE standards and internal policies.
Responsibilities
- Perform CPE compliance audits on KPMG-sponsored courses awarding CPE credits.
- Assess course information and documentation for alignment with NASBA CPE standards and Company policies.
- Verify accuracy of CPE credits recorded in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Document and report audit findings to inform process and control improvements that prevent future inconsistencies.
- Conduct audits on external learning requests (ECPE) for KPMG professionals, ensuring adherence to policies.
- Assist with updating Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents by reviewing current compliance practices and identifying gaps.
- Support the IRS continuing education sponsorship workflow by generating correctly formatted CE completion reports for various groups.
- Investigate inquiries from Enrolled Agents concerning status and reconciliation of LMS and IRS credit records.
- Produce monthly Go-Live reports verifying no completions occurred before courses were officially active.
- Complete weekly control reporting and provide additional operational support as needed.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
- At least one year of professional work experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in office productivity software, including Microsoft Office.
- Capacity to learn and operate other business-related information systems.
- Strong detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to accurately perform routine or straightforward tasks with minimal supervision.
- Technologically adept.
- Experience in business communication and familiarity with Learning Management Systems are advantageous.
Special Conditions
- JESS operates a hybrid work environment, requiring at least five office days per month in Jamaica, with flexibility for additional days as needed by business demands.
- Employees must utilize approved Generative AI tools to assist daily activities.
- The role involves operating in a fast-moving team setting primarily using paperless electronic systems throughout the workday.
- Occasional extended working hours and work on public holidays may be necessary.
