Role Summary
This role is exclusively open to Saudi nationals in compliance with government regulations. The Learning Area Manager is a key contributor within the Fulfillment Center Operations Learning team, responsible for implementing and supporting initiatives that span the network. Success in this role demands a creative, hands-on approach to meet daily and weekly compliance standards, strong data-driven analytical capabilities, and effective presentation and persuasion skills. The ability to influence peers without formal authority and closely collaborate with Operations is essential. A solid grasp of warehouse operational processes and the proficiency to coach warehouse associates daily are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Learning Associates ensuring their deployment, development, and productivity align with internal customer needs.
- Partner proactively with corporate departments to positively impact safety, quality, productivity, and customer experience metrics.
- Mentor and foster professional growth among Amazon employees through training and coaching.
- Design, implement, and facilitate training programs for associates, managers, and trainers, including orientation and skills development sessions.
- Ensure all Learning Department materials—including training schools, process manuals, and visual aids—are accurate and up to date.
- Gather and comprehend operations and area management inputs to take ownership of performance goals and facilitate necessary training to meet year-over-year improvements.
- Respond promptly to production demands, schedule conflicts, and network-wide changes.
- Standardize and drive best practices across departments and sites consistently.
- Track and maintain comprehensive records of training activities, associate compliance, and skill progression.
- Manage grant proposals and relationships related to training initiatives as necessary.
- Analyze training and operational data to identify areas for enhancement.
- Oversee training goal tracking and communicate progress at both local and network levels.
- Ensure the safety and compliance of transportation operations and maintain ownership of the Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Training Program and its documentation.
Candidate Qualifications
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree.
- Experience training and conveying information to peers, hourly workers, and management personnel.
- Experience interacting with both hourly employees and exempt staff.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and communicate on performance metrics.
- Skilled in setting and executing goals aligned to broader organizational objectives.
- Proficient in interpreting data analytics.
- Comfortable with computers, email communication, and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Additional language fluency and familiarity with regional employment frameworks are advantageous.
- Minimum of two years in employee and performance management roles.
- Flexible to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Preferred: Experience with process improvement methodologies, performance metrics, or lean techniques.
- Preferred: Prior Amazon experience or equivalent.
