About the Role
The Learning & Advisory Assistant Manager will play a critical role in enhancing knowledge management, providing business and government advisory services throughout the MENA region. This role involves delivering consultancy services and facilitating knowledge sharing both internally and externally. The position covers the Middle East and North Africa, requiring close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts, internal teams, external partners, and governmental authorities to ensure delivery of accurate, timely, and practical immigration and labor regulatory information and advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, revise, and publish content related to immigration, workforce mobility, and regional regulations.
- Research regulatory frameworks and track legislative and policy changes within the MENA region.
- Collaborate with domain experts to gather, verify, and clarify information on regulatory compliance and government procedures.
- Perform systematic quality reviews of content and processes to maintain accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
- Analyze regulatory environments strategically, including benchmarking, assessments, and drafting specialized reports and policy documents.
- Contribute to business advisory initiatives like audits, compliance reviews, policy development, multijurisdictional evaluations, and client training.
- Engage in government advisory efforts involving policy and legislative analysis, benchmarking, stakeholder engagement, procedural evaluation, and preparing recommendations.
- Utilize digital platforms and proprietary systems to manage and update information for Fragomen and its clientele.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing forums both online and in person.
- Produce thought-leadership articles, communications, blogs, and presentations.
- Support business growth through identifying opportunities, proposal assistance, and responding to tenders or information requests.
- Participate in marketing activities and represent the team at conferences, client events, and government meetings.
- Coordinate across teams to manage dependencies, clarify responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Organize meetings, document outcomes, and assist in project planning and roadmap development.
- Drive project success by monitoring progress, addressing issues, and ensuring delivery of agreed outputs.
- Assist in managing and developing team members through work distribution, quality checks, coaching, and feedback.
- Maintain precise records of time, project activities, and matters.
- Handle administrative duties essential for smooth team operations.
The Team
Operating as part of Fragomen’s Knowledge Group, the MENA Learning & Advisory Hub focuses on regional support and collaboration. It addresses three main areas: Knowledge Management and Awareness, Business Advisory, and Government Advisory, all aimed at transforming complex regulatory information into actionable guidance.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in law, public policy, international relations, political science, or a related field.
- Have at least five years of experience in legal or regulatory research, content creation, knowledge management, consulting, or advisory roles.
- Exhibit strong English communication skills; proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous.
- Capable of researching and analyzing legislation and government policies, converting insights into practical advice.
- Skilled in producing professional reports, client communications, presentations, and thought-leadership content.
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Well-organized with effective project management skills, able to handle multiple priorities and urgent matters.
- Able to collaborate effectively across multicultural, cross-jurisdictional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Self-directed, exercising sound judgment and delivering outcomes with minimal supervision.
- Experienced in Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, and confident using knowledge management systems.
- Comfortable delivering presentations and training both virtually and face-to-face.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in immigration, labor, employment law, public policy, or related regulatory fields.
- Background in consulting, business advisory, or government advisory projects.
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members.
- Involvement in business development, proposal writing, and client engagement activities.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools, regulatory tracking systems, and knowledge management dashboards.
